Pastor Don was born and raised in Chicago where he received a BS in Business and Economics and received Christ through a fraternity brother. Upon graduation he came to So California on a vacation trip to visit relatives in So Gate. He stayed, attended Grace Bible Church and worked in aerospace. He met and married Marianne, a student at Cal State Long Beach and both got active in ministry teaching Jr. High kids and working with children. Marianne’s dad had been an Air Force officer so they had lived all over the world but settled in So. California. Feeling God’s call to full time ministry they moved to Michigan where Don attended Grace Bible College. After graduation with a Th.B., they served churches in Las Vegas and So Oregon. They were called to come back to Grace Bible Church of So Gate where Don served as associate and youth pastor. After a year he was asked to serve as the senior pastor when his predecessor went back into the business world. They have been here for over 30 years. Don’s gifts are teaching and evangelism. He received his MA in Religious Studies and Marianne her BA also in religious studies. He preaches on Sun AM and teaches several times thru the week primarily doing exposition of books of the Bible. He often hands out tracts and shares the gospel in various places, as the Spirit leads. He and Marianne also work with Kids For Christ [KFC] which is a ministry to K through 6th Grades. Marianne is gifted in Christian Education, organization and teaches Jr. Church. She has just retired from her 20th year as a Special Ed. Teaching Assistant with LAUSD. They have 4 grown children, 3 in ministry. They love Grace Bible Church, the people and the family atmosphere here.
